This Week In Male Violence
This is the next installment of 4W‘s new weekly roundup, highlighting stories on male violence across the world. You can share stories with 4WPub on Twitter, or email stories to the editor at: mk@marykatefain.com if you would like them included next week.
Male violence is not a problem of individual bad actors. It is a form of global terrorism against women designed to keep us in our place our of fear, in need of “protection” from men against other men.
Women’s liberation can not be achieved unless we name the problem.

Aniah Blanchard, 19, kidnapped and murdered in Alabama
Ibraheem Yazeed, 29, has been charged with capital murder for killing Aniah Blanchard. Witnesses say he was at a convenience store at the same time as her when he forced her into the back of her car and kidnapped her. She later died from a gunshot wound. Two other men, Antwain “Squirmy” Fisher, 35, and David Johnson Jr. have also been arrested in connection to her death.

Darrell Wall, 49, accused of luring multiple homeless women to his trailer to sexually assaulting them
Derrell Wall, 49, is accused of luring women experiencing homelessness to his Lakewood, Colorado trailer. Although victims have been hard to identify due to the pattern of preying on transient women, police believe there is a pattern of sexually assaulting and filming victims. He is currently being charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of invasion of privacy — sexual gratification. Nine potential victims have been identified, many of whom struggle with addiction and could not be located to give a statement.

Minnesota man shot and killed his ex-wife and his two young sons
David Schladetzky, 53, shot and killed his ex-wife, Kjersten Schladetzky, 29, and their two sons (Nelson, 8 and William, 11) when picking the boys up from their home. The couple had recently become divorced. Schladetzky has been described as a former Class President with “a big personality.”

Indian woman, 23, beaten, set on fire, on way to testify against rapists
The Unnao woman who came forward about gang rape in 2018 was beaten, dragged to a field, covered in petrol, and set on fire by her rapists on the way to testify against them. She passed away after a 40 hour battle for her life. Her body was covered in 90% burns. The woman had been in a relationship with one of the attackers until he exploited her and raped her with a friend. The rapists were let out on bail, giving them the opportunity to attack her. The police had initially taken four months to register her complaint.

Saudi national opens fire at Florida Naval base, killing three
A Saudi aviation student open fired in a classroom at the Pensacola airforce base, killing three sailors and wounding twelve others. The shooter has been identified as Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, and is being investigated for possible terrorism links.
The shooting is the second at a U.S. naval base this week. A sailor whose submarine was docked at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, opened fire on three civilian employees Wednesday, killing two before taking his own life.

Man murders wife and two children, described by police as “stressed banker” and “wonderful parent”
A New York man who stabbed his wife, Dorothy Liu, 42, and their two children Tennyson, 7, and Adeline, 4 to death before killing himself has been described by the police as a “stressed banker”. Police Chief Eric Grutzner stated:
“While we do not have a motive, interviews indicate that Mr. Liu was under a considerable amount of stress. There are no reports of domestic violence at the family home.”
Besides the murders? He went on to say:
“Throughout the entirety of this investigation, the only information we found was that they were a wonderful, involved set of parents”

Jackub Hildreth, 19, arrested for beating girlfriend and carving his name into her forehead
The San Antonia, Texas, man has been arrested for beating his girlfriend and carving his name into her forehead with a knife. he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The victim, Catalina Mireles, 22, said she believed she would die in the moment:
“He was going to put in the closet until he figured out what he was going to do with my body.”
Mireles told police Hildreth held her by the neck and punched her in the face when a fight about their relationship escalated, the affidavit states. Police say Hildreth has a history of family assault.
