Content Guidelines

4W is a feminist platform where only women may publish articles. All content should be, at least tangentially, related to the topics of women, feminism, and gender.

The admins will use their best judgment to enforce these guidelines. However, we realize there are gray areas. Rules may be changed at any time for any purpose. If you have a complaint about moderation, please email: [email protected]

1. Only women may publish articles
   Male writers will be banned.
2. All content must be relevant to women/feminism
   All content must be at least tangentially relevant to women, feminism, or gender. This excludes content that exists solely to promote misogynist, anti-feminist, or pro-gender content.
3. No hate speech
   We support open and civil dialogue on social and political issues, but do it respectfully. Admins will use their discretion. Accurately identifying the sex or former name of an individual is not hate speech.
4. No threats of violence or glorification of violence
   This includes but is not limited to: pro-Nazi propaganda, calls to violent direct action, or promotion of violence against non-human animals.
5. No doxxing, stalking, or harassment
   We may take your behavior offsite into account when assessing this. Do not post personal information about private individuals that they do not consent to share. When reporting on private individuals, consider what information is newsworthy and in the public interest.
6. No content that is illegal for us to host in the United States
   Links to illegal content on other sites will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
7. No pornography of any kind or promotion of the sex trade
   This includes, but is not limited to, content for the sole purpose of sexually objectifying women, or for participation in the sale of another human for sex.
8. You must own or have the right to all content you post
   You may not post copyrighted content you do not have the right to use. All uploaded images must be clearly labeled with copyright information. By submitting your article to 4W, you confirm that your article will be published under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

10. Must be 18+ to publish content on 4W, and 13+ to sign up for membership

If you violate the rules

You may receive one warning via email, and the offending content will be deleted (or edited, where appropriate). After the first warning, you may be banned from the site without an additional warning and your content deleted. You will not be able to retrieve your data. We may not always issue a warning if there has been a pattern of unwelcome behavior, or severe initial violations.
